The Committee

The people behind the curtain:

Hey, I’m Beth.  I have said that I have only been a housewife and homemaker. The others on this committee are talented, knowledgeable, and have years of experience.  I have not accomplished the great things that others my age have. However, my wonderful husband let me know that being an ordinary housewife makes me more than qualified for this job.  As a homemaker I have experience as a nurse, manager, therapist, transportation expert and much more. Creativity has been key in raising five amazing kids and I can spot the great potential in others.  I come up with crazy ideas and have my amazing committee to help make them a reality!

The right hand man …

Howdy, I’m Bill.  I’m a little sophisticated and a lot of Cowboy.  My heart is bigger than a mountain.  I love to be active. Walking my dog, woodworking, leather work, ghost hunting, jeeping, and collecting stickers of places I’ve been to are some of my favorite things to do.  I have a background in social work, spending many years in the field of addiction and mental health. Currently, I’m a special education teacher working with severe disabilities and behavior problems.  I went through a divorce in 2020 with all the heartache and struggles that come with that. But over the past few years I have re-found myself and have started to write the next chapter in my book of life with my beautiful and amazing wife Beth.

The Social Media Guru:

Kristi is one of the sweetest people I have met. Don’t let her heart of gold fool you though. Hey there! I’m Kristi and I am so excited to meet you!  I am a proud mom of three amazing kids, a daughter-in-law and a son-in-law. I am anxiously anticipating the arrival of TWO grandkids this year! As a Salt Lake native, I love all the different landscapes  and adventures Utah has to offer. I’ve also spent several years in other states including Ohio, Nevada, and Arizona. I balance my work life with a love for the outdoors, finding joy in laughter, and sharing contagious smiles! I am passionate about people and fostering connections. She has a tough streak that helps her through struggles.

Chef of the Clan:

I am Bassam Faress, a BYU Provo alum with a passion for exploration and connection to people of diverse cultures. Despite life’s twists, including divorce, I cherish my role as a father to two incredible children—a son and a daughter and a couple of grandsons who without fail always bring meaning and excitement to my day. International travel fuels my spirit, allowing me to immerse myself in diverse cultures and landscapes. In my professional journey, I have engaged in business development, sales, and marketing within the natural health and nutraceutical industry, shaping company interests across Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and beyond. Off-duty, you will find me on the dance floor, enjoying the East Coast Swing, Waltz, and foxtrot, or reveling in the nostalgic melodies of my vintage vinyl collection. Nature beckons me outdoors, where I indulge in hiking, biking, photography, and the joy of culinary exploration to which the tapestry of cultures within my reach lends inspiration. I look forward to strengthening friendships at this event and to making new friends.

“A well-oiled committee isn’t a collection of individuals, but a symphony of minds, each playing their part in perfect harmony to create something far greater than any could achieve alone.”
